<p>PURPOSE:To remove the common mode component and create an accurate parallel signal from an incompletely balanced signal by removing the outer conductor of a 1st and a 2nd transmission line at an intermediate portion of the line to form an intermediate edge section and connecting the edge sections of each wire path. CONSTITUTION:1st and 2nd transmission lines 12, 14 with impedance characteristics equal to Z0 are used in a transformer 10. Also, an intermediate portion of the outer conductor 36 of the lines 12 and 14 is removed to form the intermediate edge sections 28, 30, 32, and 34. Furthermore, the intermediate edge sections of the outer conductor of the lines on one side are connected to the intermediate edge sections on the other side. As a result, when input signals are supplied to both sides 16 and 18 of the center conductor of the 1st line 12, balanced output signals are produced at both sides 22 and 24 of the center conductor of the 2nd line 14.</p> |
