PURPOSE:To develop former folding technique used for a rotary press which does not affect web folding accuracy adversely by pressing a web running over a perforation blade roller against a former surface and thereby forming a perforation extending in the running direction of the web and passing through an apex of a triangular plate former on the web. CONSTITUTION:In addition to a triangular plate 33 former folding device, a perforation blade roller device 1 is provided, which is supported by an immobilized frame and rolls in contact with a center line 50 which passes through a ridge line 40 of a triangular plate 33 former nose 39 guiding a web 31. A perforation blade roll 4 is provided on the center line 50 of the triangular plate 33 so that the former's periphery does not come in contact with the metal triangular plate 33. Therefore, the peripheral of the perforation blade roller 4 is longer damaged and the web can be perforated easily. Subsequently, the folding accuracy is improved and the discharge of a defective folded leaf is prevented. |
