PURPOSE:To obtain a carbon black increased in graphitization and containing no aggregated mass by subjecting a graphite-like carbon black obtained by heat-treating carbon black under specific conditions to pulverizing treatment by a specific pulverizer. CONSTITUTION:Carbon black is heat-treated at 2000-3000 deg.C under an inert or non-oxidizing atmosphere to provide a graphite-like carbon black. The carbon black is fed into a fluid energy type crusher from a hopper 1 and carried by a high-pressure fluid (>=3kg/cm<2> gauge pressure in nozzle position) jetted from a nozzle 3, and passed through a squeezing part 5 and accelerated to a supersonic speed and entered a pulverizing zone 6 to pulverize the carbon black by mutual collision. Then the pulverized carbon black is entered a classifying zone 8 and discharged from exit 9 together with the fluid, and crude powder of insufficient pulverization is returned to the pulverizing zone again and subjected to circulation pulverization. |
