This agent is applied to routine and double-contrasting X-ray observations of the abdominal tract. It has optimal effectiveness, stability, sedimentation volume, level of stickiness and contrast coefficient. Its composition is on the basis of barium sulphate, hydroxyethyl cellulose, flavouring corrective agents and additional silicon oil. The quantitative proportions in p. % weight are the following: barium sulphate (between 90 and 99), hydroxyethyl cellulose (between 0.80 and 1.10), silicon oil (between 0.10 and 0.30), and flavour and taste correcting agents (up to 9.0).
