PURPOSE:To provide a resin composition having low hygroscopicity and useful for forming a protection film or smoothing film on a colored resin film, a transparent thin film consisting of the cured resin composition, and a method for forming the transparent film. CONSTITUTION:The objective resin composition is produced by using a specific phenolic aralkyl resin as a curing agent for an epoxy resin and a silane coupler or an aminosilane-modified epoxy resin. The resin composition is applied to a colored resin film, etc., and cured to form a transparent thin film.
