<p>PURPOSE:To offer a method to execute two-dimensional signal orthogonal transformation to have an arbitrary shape even to the input of whatever shape, to attain the arbitrary shape two-dimensional orthogonal transformation of a picture and to improve the efficiency of encoding when the correlation function of a parameter to be inputted is clear. CONSTITUTION:When the correlation function of a parameter to be inputted is clear, Karhunen-Loeve transform (KLT) which attains executing orthogonal transformation even to the input of whatever shape is applied to arbitrary shape two-dimensional orthogonal transformation. Besides, a signal that two-dimensional signal to derive an orthogonal transformation base to an arbitrary two-dimensional shape without a problem such as convergence and so on and to have the arbitrary shape to find a transformation coefficient is rearranged into one-dimensional one is defined as (v), a cross-correlation matrix is defined as (p), an orthogonal matrix (k) to diagonalize the (p) is calculated and the (v) is orthogonal-transformed with the orthogonal matrix (k)</p> |
