Disclosed are cosmetic preparations containing mixtures of (a) zinc salts and (b) glycine and/or (c) one or more zinc salts of glycine. Also disclosed is the use of mixtures of (a) zinc salts and (b) glycine and/or (c) one or more zinc salts of glycine, as the main ingredient providing protection against physical deterioration of water-in-oil emulsions.
