Described is a trolley for transporting workpieces (1), in particular bars, the trolley having a main housing or frame (13) which travels on wheels (14, 15, 17, 18) and the workpieces (1) being held on a bed (4) on the main frame. The bed (4) is connected to the main frame (13) by a scissor-type jack (7) with which it can be raised and lowered.
