A changeover switch (8) connected to the input of a digital memory (9) is so controllable that during the receipt of the adjusted frequency the digital audio signals are fed into the memory, and then for further processing (10), and during the receipt of the other frequency output, signals from the memory are fed into the memory again, and on for further processing (10). Between the unaltered audio signal and the delayed audio signal a fade-out takes place. For Fourier analysis, a digital signal processor and for storage of the audio signal sections print-read memories are provided. A digital filter in the digital signal processor scans the spectrum of the audio signal by alteration of the filter coefficients according to the energy-richest components. One of the delay devices (11, 12) is provided with a tapping device, which is connected to switches, via which audio signal sections reach a print-read memory. The switches are controlled by a micro-computer (4).
