The invention relates to a cage in the form of an endless belt for the roller planet shoe of a linear guide. The cage comprises two belt sections (15) arranged beside the rollers (8) and webs (16) connecting the two belt sections (15) between two successive rollers (8). A reinforcing insert (23) is embedded in the belt sections (15). The central axis (25) of the belt sections (15) and the neutral fibre (25) of the reinforcing insert (23) is guided on a curve (26a) in the transition region (28) and deflection region (27) so that the connecting line (24) between two successive rollers (8) forms a tangent to the neutral fibre (25) in the deflection regions (27). This provides a geometrically accurate adjustment of the webs (16) in relation of the rollers (8) in the deflection paths (5) and, via the cable on the one hand provides axial positional accuracy owing to the great tensile strength and on the other good deflection of the belt sections (15) in the deflection regions (27) with high alternate-bending strength and hence a long useful life.
