PURPOSE:To feed a bandlike member to a forming drum with excellent accuuracy, while the member is positioned surely in the width direction, when the bandlike member is fed to the forming drum. CONSTITUTION:A bandlike member 1 is fed on the conveyer belt 5 on which a number of vents 41 are bored, and air is blown out from the vents while air is fed into an air chamber 44, and then the member 1 is positioned in the width direction by a pair of guide bars 24 in the state where the close contact of the member 1 with the belt 5 is suppressed. Next, the air chamber is evacuated, and the member 1 is brought in to close contact with the belt 5 by low pressure, and at this state, the guide bar is separated from both side edges of the belt 5, and the member 1 is fed to a forming drum by driving the belt 5. |
