PURPOSE:To allow focusing with high accuracy by providing a means for generating the signal corresponding to the moving quantity of a lens on a lens side. CONSTITUTION:A photointerruptor 30 as a signal generating means for forming the signal according to the movement of a photographic optical system is provided on a photographic lens 1 side. A contact 31 as an electrical coupling means for transmitting this signal to a body 2 side is provided between the photographic lens 1 and the camera body 2. The photographic optical system is moved by driving a motor 9 for focusing driving to focus the photographic lens 1 in accordance with the comparison of the output of an arithmetic means 10 of the camera body 2 and the signal corresponding to the count value of the output from the photointerruptor 30 of the lens. The focusing is, therefore, no longer affected by the mechanical clatters from the motor 9 for focusing up to the lens 1 side optical system. |
