PURPOSE:To provide the method for detecting a sound section by the scale which does not depend on the noise level of background noise by eliminating the need for setting the threshold value dependent on the noise level of the background noise. CONSTITUTION:The sound section which is the section desired to be detected from an input signal is detected in this method for detecting the sound section. The method has 1st stages 10, 20 for determining the average power of the input signal, a 2nd stage 30 for detecting the predicted error power of the input signal and a 3rd stage 40 for determining normalized enthropy in accordance with the average power calculated by the 1st stages 10, 20 and the predicted error power calculated by the 2nd stage 30. The section where the normalized enthropy determined by the 3rd stage 40 exceeds the prescribed threshold value is detected as the sound section. |
