PURPOSE:To enable the center part of a lead to be accurately formed into the shape of a crank in a short time by a method wherein the base of the lead of a component or a transistor placed on a drag is pressed by a pressing piece, the center part of the lead is pressed down in a forming groove by a forming piece. CONSTITUTION:A main body 10a of a transistor 10 is fitted into a recess 2b of a drag 2, and the base of leads 1a, 1b, and 1c of the transistor 10 is pressed by a pressing piece 3. When the center lead 1b of the transistor 10 is intruded into a forming groove 5 with a forming piece 4, only the center lead 1b is plastically deformed into the shape of a crank. At this point, the bend of the center lead 1b on the base side is bent along the corner 4c of the forming piece 4. Therefore, the center lead 1b is smoothly bent, so that it can be protected against troubles such as cracks of plating, chippings, flaws, and wrinkles. |
