A wall (10) is provided with a device which prevents anyone from climbing over it. The device is constructed from bars (22) which are fixed at intervals to the upper edge of the wall and which have their upper ends bent outwards at an angle of 45 deg. The bars (22) are fastened to each other by a sheet of expanded metal (26) which is attached to the outer surfaces of the bars and extends upwards beyond the upper ends of the bars. The effectiveness of the obstacle is increased by attaching coils of barbed wire (56)(64) to the lower and upper regions of the expanded metal. USE/ADVANTAGE - Obstacle to prevent persons climbing over a wall. The device is easily attached to the wall.
