High power LC filter e.g. for Rf generator - has coils surrounded by magnetic cores with large surface contacts to filter housing

The LC filter has a housing (1) with input and output branches (2.1,2.2), wire coils (3,4), and capacitors (7-10) in the housing. The coils are surrounded by magnetic cores (3.1,3.2;4.1,4.2), which have as large surface contact with the housing as possible. The capacitors are earthed on one side. They are formed as chips directly secured to the housing inside. Typically the electric components in the housing are mirror-symetrically fitted w.r.t. a centre plane. The component retaining housing inside is of a flat, rectangular shape, with the magnetic core outer faces also flat. Between the magnetic cores and housing may be components improving heat convection. USE/ADVANTAGE - For short wave range e.g. RF generators for medical or industrical use, with compact design and good filter properties.
