PURPOSE:To prevent the attachment/detachment of a fixing unit in a state where a fixing heater is energized, and the occurrence of arcing. CONSTITUTION:In this image forming device where a fixing unit 10 housing a heater 13 inside can be attached/detached to/from an image forming device main body, and a connector 26 is provided on the electrical conducting path of the fixing unit 10, an attachment/detachment detecting means 33 detecting the attachment/detachment of the fixing unit 10 is provided, and the attachment/ detachment detecting means 33 is constituted so as to carry out an attachment detection after the connector 26 is inserted up to obtain prescribed depth and connected at the time of the attachment of the fixing unit 10, and carry out a detachment detection before the connector 26 is detached at the time of the detachment of the fixing unit 10. A different contact point is provided inside a connector for a heater instead of the attachment/detachment detecting means 33 and can be used for an attachment/detachment detecting means. |
