The IC engine is esp. for a Diesel engine. The engine crank housing (1) is connected to the oil sump (2), via an adhesive (4), which is permanently elastic when hardened. A stable formed part (3), or a strong metal plate forms an adaptor between crank housing and oil sump. The part has a vertical web (6), which supports the adhesive. ADVANTAGE - Reduced vibration acting on oil sump.
