A sectional heating boiler comprises a number of cast iron members each made up of two core less half shells (2, 3). The shells (2, 3) are bolted together (4, 5) with a sealing strip (6) between the joints, and on the inside (11) there are radial short fins (18) with a transverse flange (21) half way along the fins (18). The members are joined together by a bosss (9) and each has an upper large waterway (12) and a lower smaller waterway. USE/ADVANTAGE - Only moulding sand is used for making the sections and this can be re-used and gives off no environmentally damaging gas.
