<p>PURPOSE:To contrive both extension of life of a discharge lamp lighting device and miniaturization of a mounting board by improving the heat-radiating property of the discharge lamp lighting device to be mounted. CONSTITUTION:Holes 2a, detouring around the protruding parts of mounting legs 3c, are formed on the positions corresponding to the mounting legs 3c of a ballast 3 which is a discharge lamp lighting device, the mounting legs 3c are inserted in the holes 2a, and at least a part of one surface 3b of ballast body part 3a is brought into contact with the mounting plate 2 composed of a metal material having excellent heat-radiating property. As a result, the heat generated in the ballast 3 is conducted by solid contact to the mounting plate 2 from one surface 3b of the body part 3a, the temperature of the ballast 3 is lowered, and the life of the ballast is extended. Also, the interval between the ballasts 3, which are adjoiningly mounted in a discharge lamp lighting device can be narrowed, and the mounting plate of the discharge lamp lighting device can be made small in size.</p> |
