The invention relates to a fitting device for a jointed arm awning with a bracket (1) and a hollow fitting section (2) to take at least one support block (3) for at least one jointed arm and means for fitting a fabric roller, in which the hollow fitting section (2) has a second chamber (7) to contain an adjusting mechanism above a first, preferably closed chamber (6). There is a through stepped hole (11) at its rear to contain a screw (12) to secure the support block. At the rear of the hollow fitting section there is at least one hook-like fitting device (14; 32) and the bracket (1) has at least one matching hook-like fitting device (16; 31).
