摘要

Branched dialkyl ethers may be produced by condensing branched primary alcohols of the formula (I), in which R<1> and R<2> are mutually independently linear alkyl radicals with 2 to 20 carbon atoms, in the presence of sulphonic acids at temperatures of 150 to 200 DEG C with hydroxy compounds. The products are suitable as heat exchanger liquids.
