PURPOSE: To improve production efficiency by carrying out such processes as forming a pleat by folding a single sheet material and ironing folds and applying an adhesive alternately parallelly to the folds and folding them again by means of a series of devices. CONSTITUTION: A web of material sheet formed of plastic film or the like is accordion-folded orthogonally to the longitudinal direction to form folds F1 , F2 . In the next process, these folds F1 , F2 are once unfolded and then, an adhesive is applied alternately on the front face and the back face at a specified distance parallelly to the folds. And again it is folded and parts B1 , B2 are pasted with the adhesive to form an expandable window blind having a multiplex cell structure. These serial processes are operated by one device. In this way, the apparatus can be efficiently manufactured. |
