PURPOSE:To improve the input power factor and to reduce higher harmonic components of the input current in an inverter device which converts the DC voltage obtained by rectifying and smoothing a source of an AC into a high frequency and then provides it to the load. CONSTITUTION:A source of an AC Vs is rectified by a rectifier DB and is smoothed by a capacitor C1 through an inductor L2. A load circuit is connected through a capacitor C3 between a junction of first and second switching elements Q1 and Q2 which are connected in parallel to the capacitor C1 and a junction of the output terminal of the rectifier DB and the inductor L2. Since the inductor L2 takes partial charge of the voltage difference between the rectifier DB and the capacitor C1, the rectifier DB conducts and input current flows even when the input voltage Vin from the source of an AC Vs is lower than the voltage of the capacitor C1. And, what's more, higher harmonic components of the input current is held down and thereby the input power factor is improved. A rush current is also alleviated by the inductor L2. |
