HYDROPHOBIC MONOMER, COPOLYMER OF THE SAME AND PROPENAMIDE DERIVATIVE MONOMER AND ITS USE

PURPOSE:To provide a hydrophobic monomer useful for producing amphiphatic copolymers (or their salts) having animal cell adhesion or platelet coagulation/ adhesion inhibitory effects and a copolymer of said monomer and a propenamide derivative having Arg-Gly-Asp unit. CONSTITUTION:The objective (A) hydrophobic monomer having a structure with isoprenoid skeletal section bound, via amide, ester, ether or urethane link, to the side chain of a compound having ethylenically unsaturated double bond, (B) copolymer (or salt thereof) of this monomer and a propenamide derivative having Arg-Gly-Asp unit, and (C) animal cell adhesion or platelet coagulation/ adhesion inhibitor containing, as active ingredient, this polymer or its salt.
