PURPOSE: To prevent a portable pump from being freely decomposed by a user in order to use it for the other purpose by providing a matching electric contact means for combining at least two of modules to operate the function of the pump and a means for permanently stopping the function of the pump when this electric contact means is separated. CONSTITUTION: This pump is formed by mutually assembling at least two modules, for example, four modules 1, 2, 3, 4. Each module has a supplying tank 5 of therapeutic agent, a pump means 5 for feeding a therapeutic agent from the tank 5 to the pump outlet, a motor means 7 for operating the pump means, and a control means 8 acting on the motor means. At least two of the modules have matching electric contact means 9 for starting the pump when the modules are assembled, and also permanently stopping the function of the pump when the contact means is decomposed. This pump is suitable particularly for a treatment for continuously administering a small quantity to a patient. |
