CERAMIC CIRCUIT BOARD AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PURPOSE:To provide a ceramic circuit board having high reliability by preventing defects of a ceramic part, an insulating layer due to partial diffusion of copper oxide produced by the oxidation of a conductor during baking into the ceramic part and insulating layer in the board using copper or alloy containing copper as a main ingredient as conductor metal. CONSTITUTION:Entire ceramic board, insulating layer contain copper content in such a manner that the copper content does not exist as metal or oxide of copper alone but exists as composite oxide or oxide solid solution of copper and other one or more components. Its manufacturing process includes steps of previously reacting the copper oxide with other components to use composite oxide or oxide solid solution of copper and other one or more components as a starting material of the ceramic board, the insulating layer. Partial diffusion of the copper oxide oxidized from the conductor during baking into the ceramic board, the insulating layer is prevented to obtain a ceramic circuit board having high reliability.
