摘要 <p>Low-noise oscillator comprising a non-linear element consisting of a superconducting material. <??>In an illustrative embodiment, it comprises: - a resonator consisting of a coil (L2), a capacitor (C1), and a sustaining coil (L1), which are made from a superconducting material and are kept at a low temperature, below the critical temperature; - a linear amplifier (2) which always operates within its linear zone; - a load (R2). <??>The amplitude of the oscillation levels off when the amplitude of the oscillation has reached a threshold value such that the superconducting material making up the coil (L2) of the resonator gradually becomes resistive under the action of the magnetic field created by this same coil. The coil (L2) then dissipates part of the energy injected into the resonator. Since the high-frequency noise from the oscillator is determined essentially by the low-frequency noise from its non-linear element, the use of a low-temperature superconducting material to make up the non-linear element enables an oscillator with very low noise to be obtained. <??>Application in particular to voltage-controlled oscillators. <IMAGE></p>
