PURPOSE:To eliminate the abrasion and contamination of a thermal head and the defective adhesion of transfer ink and base film or recording paper and to obtain a distinct printing free of sticking phenomenon by providing one surface of the film with a transfer ink layer melting or subliming through heating and the opposite surface with a sticking prevention layer. CONSTITUTION:The surface opposite to the application layer of a biaxial oriented polyester film obtained by drawing and drying after applying an aqueous application liquid containing water-soluble or decomposable polyolefin and aqueous macromolecule to one surface of the polyester film as a sticking prevention layer, is provided with a transfer ink layer melting or subliming by heating. Thus, no sticking phenomenon occurs, printer traveling properties are satisfactory, no blur, etc., are recognized also in printed ink, and a distinct printing image is obtained. |
