PURPOSE:To provide a thermal recording paper having excellent practical characteristics such as little generation of curl due to each person's peculiar way of rolling and satisfactory handling properties, also when the thermal recording paper is used as a machine glazed paper. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal recording paper having a thermal recording layer mainly composed of leuco dye and developer, the storage elastic modulus in the measurement of dynamic viscoelasticity in the longitudinal direction is 3X10<10>-6.5X10<10>dyne/cm<2>. For the purpose of attaining such storage elastic modulus, it is important to use a paper support made under draw conditions milder than normal ones. Also, it is effective to internally add a pigment in the ratio of 10-30% to pulp at the time of paper-making and to suppress the penetration of a paint into the paper support low at the time of coating the thermal recording layer. |
