<p>PURPOSE:To offer a magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus whose performance can be ensured for a long time without requiring any labor by a method wherein a simple device is added. CONSTITUTION:A roller 25 for cleaning use is brought into pressure contact with a face other than the contact face of a pinch roller 13 at a capstan shaft 2 only during the extraction action of a magnetic tape 12. Thereby, it is possible to restrain magnetic powders from adhering to the capstan shaft 2. Since the capstan shaft is cleaned whenever the tape is loaded, the performance of an apparatus can be kept for a long time.</p> |
