<p>PURPOSE:To improve the operability when certain data is found by scrolling and displayed by associating the scroll speed of a window display with a pointing device and setting the speed corresponding to the operation of an operator. CONSTITUTION:This system is provided with a correspondence table 9 which converts the moving speed of the pointing device 5 into a corresponding scroll speed, a comparison part 10 which compares the obtained scroll speed with a threshold value, and a scroll control means 11 which switches display data to simple display data when the scroll speed exceeds the threshold value. When the moving speed of the pointing device 5 varies according to operator's operation, the scroll speed also varies and when the scroll speed exceeds the threshold value, the display data on a display device 3 is switched to the simple display data. Consequently, the speed at which the operator looks for the data to be displayed is made fast.</p> |
