<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a recording fluid which, when used for ink jet recording, writing, etc., can give a recorded image having good print quality, a high density and excellent light resistance even on plain paper by mixing an aqueous medium with a specified dye. CONSTITUTION:A recording medium comprising an aqueous medium and at least one dye selected from those of formula I, wherein R<1> and R<2> are each H, CH3 or OCH3; R<3> and R<4> are each H, CH2COOM or C2H4COOM, M is an alkali metal, NH4 or an organic amine; n is 0 or 1; A is a group of formula II (wherein R<5> is H, NH2, COOM or SO3M; and R<6> is H, COOM or lower acylamino) or formula III (wherein m is 1 or 2).</p> |
