COMPRESSION CONNECTION TYPE CONNECTOR

PURPOSE: To provide a pressure-contact connection type connector which is easily mounted/demounted and ejected and capable of latchingly mating connector fitted to the connector. CONSTITUTION: A cable supporting face 48 of a housing 22 containing a pressure-contact connection contact 26 for a pressure-contact connection type connector 20 is opposed to a connection cover 28. A flat cable 156 is inserted between the housing 22 and the connection cover 28 to be pressure-contacted therebetween, so that the conductor of the flat cable 156 is connected to the contact 26 in forced contact. A pair of standing leg means 100, 102 are provided at both ends of the connection cover 28 for pressing and fixing a pair of latching/ejecting lever 30 therein. The lever 30 ejects the connector 20 and also latches mating connector 44 connected to the connector 20.
