PURPOSE:To suppress dispersion of zincate ions and prolong the lifetime of a battery by preparing a paste through kneading of active substance and binder, drying and crushing the paste, and applying the obtained Zn black mix powder to a current collecting element. CONSTITUTION:A paste-form object prepared through kneading of Zn active substance powder, binder, and water is dried and crushed to yield a Zn black mix powder, which is mixed with a glue liquid as adjustment, and the resultant is applied to a current collecting element. Because this Zn black mix powder is embodied in a single piece with the binder and structured as an aggregate consisting of particulates of composite materials in complicated shapes, dispersion of zincate ions is suppressed. Further, the bond of the Zn composite material with current collecting element can be enhanced by applying the paste of Zn black mix powder to the current collecting element, so that exfoliation will not easily occur to eliminate initial period failure in cycles, and thereby the cyclic life will be prolonged. |
