CONSTITUTION:Nothing that subtraction can be used in place of multiplication for quantization if both an element data and a quantization table are subjected to logarithmic processing, and that the data length is unchanged substantially in the subtraction, an orthogonally transformed data is subjected to logarithmic processing at a logarithmic processing circuit 21 and the result is sent to a subtractor 22, which is quantized by subtraction based on a quantization table obtained by subjecting the numerical values of the quantization weights read from a quantization table memory to logarithmic processing.</p> |
