PURPOSE:To rapidly fix ink attached to the recording surface of a record sheet without using a conventional heating means. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder member 6 is fitted into the inner periphery of an air-permeable absorber roller 5 so that the roller 5 can rotate along the outer periphery of the member 6. A vane pump 7 is incorporated in the member 6. A record sheet 3 is held between the roller 5 and a sheet delivery roller 4 forcibly rotated and carried in a direction of arrow A. Unfixed portion of ink which has been attached to a recording surface 3a of the sheet 3 by a record head 1 is sucked into the interior of the roller 5 in contact with the sheet. The ink drawn into the roller 5 is sucked into a pump 7 together with the air drawn into the plump 7 via the roller 5 and a suction hole 6a and discharged from a discharge groove 6b to the outside. |
