The machine is used for sewing seed in rows. It has a container for the seed feeding into a number of seed boxes (2) with wheels inside (3) spaced at intervals along a common axle (4). The intervals correspond with the distance between the rows on the ground. The wheels revolve freely on fixed sleeves (12) which can slide through the seed boxes (2) and into a cog wheel (10) which is held captive by a spring clip (18). The wheels can revolve in either direction and can adjust to sew fine or normal seed. USE/ADVANTAGE - By reversing the direction of the wheels the machine can distribute the seed over or under as required.
