THERMAL RECORDING MATERIAL

PURPOSE:To provide the subject material which does not allow the adherence of printing waste generated by a thermal head and sticks effectively and reduces head wear to a minimum allowable extent. CONSTITUTION:A protecting layer consisting mainly of resin and filler is provided on a thermally coloring layer. In addition, aluminum hydroxide or/and aluminum oxide particles with a volume average particle diameter of 1mum, containing particles with a diameter of 4mum or smaller which account for 90vol.% or higher is used as a filler for the protecting layer. A microtracking technique is employed for the measurement of this filler.
