PURPOSE:To achieve an excellent atomization through a gasification burner by a method wherein a feeder, by which preheating fuel and air are mixed and supplied, is provided on a supply pipe along which coal-water slurry is supplied to a burner main body. CONSTITUTION:A coal gasification burner main body 6 is put in a top 1a of a coal gasification furnace 1 lined with refractory inside, and has a double-tube construction consisting of an inner nozzle 8 through which oxygen or air is blown and an outer nozzle 9 through which coal-water slurry is sprayed. A supply pipe 13 is connected to the outer nozzle 9 to supply the coal-water slurry, and divided into two branches upstream, one 13a is connected to a coal-slurry feeder and the other 13b to a preheating fuel feeder 16. The preheating fuel feeder 16 is provided with a pre-mixing air inlet 19 and a preheating fuel supply nozzle on its mixing main body 17. During preheating, not only fuel but also air are simultaneously supplied to the supply pipe 13 of the burner main body 6 at a high flow rate so that an excellent atomization can be achieved. |
