PURPOSE:To improve the image quality of a visualized latent image by carrying a large amount of toner which is sufficiently electrostatically charged on a developing roller, carrying it to a developing area between the developing roller and a photosensitive body and visualizing the latent image on the photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:A first dielectric body 11 and a second dielectric body 12 whose electrostatic charge properties are mutually different are laminated on the surface of the developing roller 5. By mutually charging them to reversed polarity by friction by a toner supply roller 6, a fine closed electric field is formed near the surface of the roller 5. Thus, the large amount of toner 4 is carried by the roller 5. |
