PURPOSE: To obtain a developer useful in the preparation of a copy and a proof including a digital color proof and to a lithographic printing plate and a resist. CONSTITUTION: This positive operating electrostatic liq. developer is composed essentially of a nonpolar liq. A present in a large amt. and having <=30 kauri- butanol value, a thermoplastic resin grain B having <=10μm area average grain size and an AB diblock copolymer charge control agent compd. C. In some cases, a colorant and a charge assistant are incorporated. The preparation of the developer is also explained.
