PURPOSE:To limit expansion of electric discharge, reduce power consumption and prevent incorrect display by localizing wall charge with reference to AC- type plasma display panel for segment display. CONSTITUTION:The plasma display panel 1 is constituted such that it is equipped with electrodes x, y<1>, y<2> covered with a dielectric 25 and a plurality of segments SE1, SE2 are made to selectively emit light, and the dielectric 25 is partitioned into the respective segments SE1, SE2 by an insulator 29 having the dielectric constant smaller than the dielectric 25. |
