PURPOSE:To ensure the quantitative analysis of glucose in fruit juice, etc., safely, simply at a low cost in a short time. CONSTITUTION:A phosphoric acid buffer solution is added to a glucose-contg. sample followed by putting the resultant solution in a beaker 3, and the glucose in the solution is passed through the immobilized glucose oxidase membrane formed on the surface of an antimony electrode 1 to cause chemical change; concurrently, the antimony electrode 1 is oxidized with the hydrogen peroxide water produced during the process, and the resulting electric signal is measured as the potential difference between the antimony electrode 1 and a reference electrode 2 using a digital multimeter 7; using the result, the objective quantitative analysis of the glucose in the sample is ensured to be made. |
