The invention relates to an ultrasonic device for nebulising liquid fuel (or an anti-knock compound, a catalyst, a lubricant used in or necessary for combustion) attached to a combustion engine. It consists of a circuit which oscillates at above 30 kHz., of one (or more) piezoelectric crystal(s), of a metallic surface (or one made of some other material), the strength of which corresponds to the type of engine and to its use, and of a microprocessor which can modulate the operating parameters of the oscillating circuit. The ultrasonic nebulisation of the liquids mentioned increases the ratio of power to fuel, lubricant, or catalyst consumption, or the power to polluting waste ratio. It may improve combustion at low temperatures in aviation turbines. The device is intended to be used on piston-type combustion engines (4 or 2 stroke), Wankel, Sarich, turbojets, ramjets, etc.
