The multi-pole connector, for connecting a main cable (2) having a plurality of electrical conductors (4) with a branch cable having a plurality of conductors, comprises two half-shells (6a, 6b) made of plastic, these half-shells being intended to be assembled around the main cable (2) using clamping means. A membrane (15a, 15b) made of insulating and flexible material is provided between each half-shell (6a, 6b) and the main cable (2), the surface of these membranes which is adjacent to the internal surface of the half-shells (6a, 6b) substantially matching this surface and the surface of these membranes which is adjacent to the cable (2) having a recess (17a) capable of matching the surface of the cable (2). Use for improving the sealing of connectors for power cables having a plurality of conductors. <IMAGE>
