Printer using heat transfer including a paper feed part (B) for delivering sheets of paper, a printing part (A) for supplying an ink applied to a ribbon and printing the ink on to sheets of paper, and a paper discharge part (C) for discharging the sheets of paper from the printing part (A), which is made up such that an elementary single-colour image is printed via a flat thermal printing head (100) whereas the sheet of paper and the ribbon are level. Thus, the printer has a simpler structure and the printing time is shortened. <IMAGE>
