摘要

Bacillus thuringiensis DSM 4082 and its mutants producing insect-pathogenic proteins are new. Prodn. of microorganisms of the B.thuringiensis type in which the ability to produce endotoxins in genetically fixed is effected by protoplast fusion of at least two different toxin-producing strains by degrading the cell wall, inducing fusion and stimulating cell wall regeneration. Specifically DSM 4082 is produced by fusion of B.thuringiensis strains F32-13 (HD-2 cry- B1256-82 cry+ten) and HD-2 D10 cry+thur.
