The installation component has a box with holding protrusions for releasable coupling to holding strips of a cable duct. It has a socket with a support ring (30), an insert, e.g. a plus socket insert, and a cover, whose connector passes through the aperture of the cable duct cover. The cover (35) connector (38) is directly connectable to the support ring of the electric installation component. Pref., the connector is fin-shaped and cooperates with the boundary walls of the support ring apertures. The connector rear end may merge into the cover, while its front end may have a slot. USE/ADVANTAGE - For switches, push-buttons, plug connector socket in railing cable ducts etc., without need for an adaptor ring.
