PURPOSE:To accurately predict the exchange time of maintenance parts in accordance with a use condition. CONSTITUTION:In an image forming device where interchangeable parts are allowed to be exchanged by relating to the number of image forming times, the number of image forming times is counted by a copied sheet number detector 8, and time is detected by a clock IC 215. The limit value of the number of image forming times when the parts should be exchanged is stored, and based on the counted result by a counting means and the limit value, the remaining number of image forming times that the image can be formed until the counted result attains the limit value is obtained in a CPU 201. Based on the counted result and the detected result by a time detection means, the number of image forming times of every specified time is obtained in the CPU 201. The value of the number of image forming times of every obtained specified time is time-sequentially and plurally stored and further the average of the stored value of the number of image forming times of every specified time is obtained in the CPU 201. Then, remaining time until the counted result attains the limit value is obtained based on the obtained average and the remaining number of image forming times, and the time when the counted result attains the limit value is predicted based on the obtained time and the result detected by the time detection means. |
